The full metal receivers give this rifle a realistic weight and feel. The metal build also adds a high level of durability, so you can be sure that this weapon will be able to withstand even the most intense skirmishes on the battlefield. To ensure positive weapon control during battle, an ambidextrous steel sling loop is affixed beneath the castle nut, allowing you to attach a one-point tactical sling on either side of the receiver. The 10" handguard is outfitted with KeyMod slots, making this weapon highly modular and capable of accepting a large number of tactical accessories including Picatinny rail sections, foregrips, and flashlights.
The internals of the R5 M10 Battlemod are the same as the Mark 13 series AEGs, however the electric blowback function has been removed from this weapon which improves the lifespan of both the battery and piston. The reinforced metal gearbox comes complete with a quick change spring feature that allows you to adapt this rifle to any number of game types and play styles. A 268x6.03mm tightbore inner barrel feeds a metal rotary style hop-up unit, which extends the effective range of this AEG out past 200 feet. To protect the trigger contacts, an inline MOSFET is installed to regulate the flow of electrical current through the wiring harness. The standard battery connector is a Dean's plug, but the package also includes a mini-Tamiya connector to accommodate a vast array of batteries.
