Modernized External Design:
JG has taken the AK platform to the next level by including a full railed hand guard, a railed receiver cover, and M16 style iron sights all of which make the JG AKTR-08 Hybrid AK AEG the most modernized AK style airsoft rifle on the market! The CNC machined railed hand guard can accept most 20mm Weaver rail mounted accessories including vertical grips, bipods, lasers, flashlights, and even grenade launchers! The Galil style gas block features an integrated top rail portion, perfect for mounting red dot sights and PEQ units, and the receiver cover features a long optics rail perfect for mounting scopes and other accessories. Integrated into the gas block and receiver cover are M16 style iron sights, which are adjustable for CQB and long distance ranges, as well as windage and elevation. To further increase the modern look and ergonomic feel of this AK Hybrid AEG, JG has installed a molded motor grip with finger shelving for a more ergonomic grip. Also included with the JG AKTR-08 Hybrid AK AEG, are two full size rail covers which allow you to comfortably grip the railed hand guard. With modular improvements, western style iron sights, and ergonomic grips, this JG AKTR-08 Hybrid AK airsoft AEG is truly the next step in the evolution of the AK platform.
Hard Hitting Performance:
With a fully upgraded external design it would be a shame to throw in stock internals, which is why JG has installed their most powerful and accurate internal components into the AKTR-08 Hybrid AK AEG. For maximum compression and firepower, JG has installed a reinforced full metal Version 3 gearbox with a factory upgrade M120 spring producing a whopping 440 FPS (with 0.20g BB's) right out of the box! Also, to better handle the spring tension, JG has included their best super high torque short type motor, easily capable of pulling the high power spring and reducing the chances of wear inside the gearbox. Even the most powerful AEG is only as good as its accuracy, which is why JG installed a long precision inner barrel (over 3 inches longer than a standard AK inner barrel) into the AKTR-08 Hybrid AK AEG giving it sniper like accuracy and range! Why settle for a ubiquitous AK47, when you could have a truly unique AK platform with internals that rival the renowned Real Sword AK47s?
NOTE: Some assembly is required. The gun comes with the stock and stock wiring disconnected. Follow the steps below or refer to the included instruction manual for assembly:
Assembly Directions:
- 1st, remove the extended stock wiring from the stock, and connect it to the wiring connectors at the rear of the AEG. Make certain to connect the red wire at the rear of the gun to the red striped stock extension wire , and connect the black wire at the rear of the gun to the all black stock extension wire (not connecting the wires properly can result in gearbox, motor, and battery damage).
- 2nd, run the connected wiring through the removed stock. (Make sure to remove the butt plate at the rear of the stock, and make sure to run the wire through the portion of the stock that mounts onto the gun first.)
- 3rd, once the wiring is in its correct position (running straight through the stock), push the stock towards the gun ensuring that the curved side of the stock is facing upwards. Properly seat the stock into the stock mounting area.
- 4th, use the included screws to securely mount the stock to the gun.
- 5th, test the wiring and gun with a fully charged battery, then replace the butt plate at the rear of the stock.
Battery Charger Recommendation: Although this fully automatic airsoft rifle comes with a standard wall charger to charge the battery, Airsoft Megastore recommends the use of a smart charger to avoid overcharging the battery (overcharged batteries may cause decreased airsoft gun performance and may shorten battery life significantly). Smart chargers not only shorten charge time significantly (up to 800% faster charging), but more importantly, also automatically shut off once the battery is fully charged to avoid overcharged batteries.
