Our take: This rifle is one of CYMA’s original hits and has since undergone a few rounds of revisions, including a recently upgraded gearbox spring. With a high-torque motor, full-length metal barrel, and full metal gearbox, this rifle performs beautifully, delivering shot-by-shot accuracy and shooting up to 400 FPS (w/ 0.20g BBs). Accuracy is improved because of its convenient and easy to use adjustable sight. And an included 500-round hicap magazine means that you’ll be ready to fire away with lots of ammunition under your belt. It’s a great gun for its price point and even better if you prefer AK/AKS style rifles. The rear stock on this AK74M is an ergonomic metallic rear folding skeleton-stock. With the stock folded, you effectively reduce the length of the rifle, making it CQB ready. Snap the stock back out when needed and you’ll have a full length AK74. And an adjustable hop-up unit comes standard on this rifle.
Ammo type: Seamless 0.20g or heavier (0.23g, 0.25g, 0.26g, 0.28g, etc) BBs. Battery Charger Recommendation: Although this fully automatic airsoft rifle comes with a standard wall charger to charge the battery, Airsoft Megastore recommends the use of a smart charger to avoid overcharging the battery(overcharged batteries may cause decreased airsoft gun performance and may shorten battery life significantly). Smart chargers not only shorten charge time significantly (up to 800% faster charging), but more importantly,also automatically shut off once the battery is fully charged to avoid overcharged batteries.
