The Mosin-Nagant 1891/30 was the Soviet Union’s standard issue rifle at the beginning of World War 2, and was used by the famous Soviet Sniper, Vasili Zaitsev, who was immortalized in the film “Enemy at the Gates”. Though the Mosin-Nagant was first used as a standard infantry rifle, it quickly became the Soviet Sniper rifle of choice, and were outfitted with magnified scopes for better target acquisition and accuracy.
