500 FPS A&K SVD Bolt Action SSR [Specialized Sniper Rifle] in Black - (DISCONTINUED)
After we heard about the rumored production of an SSR full metal bolt action sniper by A&K, we were intrigued. And after a lengthy wait that dragged on for more than a year, we're proud to say that we've FINALLY received these all-new bolt action rifles from A&K. After our initial evaluation and play time with this all-new SSR [Specialized Sniper Rifle] from A&K, we've got to say: THIS RIFLE IS SENSATIONAL. This is the NEWEST production run unit from A&K, and because a few variants are still scattered across the market from previous production runs, we'll detail below the specs on the new A&K SSR that we now carry.
Everything on it, from the body to the cocking mechanism, has been engineered to have a functional purpose, and has subsequently been assembled with the utmost care and precision. This rifle is one of the sturdiest bolt actions we've ever laid our hands on, and we think that it is truly one of those Airsoft rifles you just HAVE to have. With a limited production run allocated for this rifle, we are proud to say that we've secured a number of units for our customers.
After fumbling around with it and adjusting to the sheer length of its entire body, you'll notice an overwhelming stability throughout the structure of the rifle. It has a supreme balance that is sure to please for all SSR-afficianados. Construction, finish, and overall build-quality is excellent, and is to be expected from A&K. Performance wise, it is unquestionably powerful. With 0.20g BBs, it chronos in at 440-510 FPS, certainly a force to be reckoned with. Because its inner barrel measures in at over 600mm (!), it is dead-accurate. With the SSR, you can have the confidence of being able to pick off opponents at distances greater than 100 feet, as the rifle has a maximum effective range of well OVER 200 feet. We've found that for maximum accuracy, 0.25g or heavier BBs are best.
The tactical rear stock and an adjustable cheek rest is a feature that every SSR-buyer will be sure to love, as it proves extremely beneficial in bettering shooting comfort. If for any reason you want to remove the cheek rest, you can do so with ease, as it is removable/adjustable with the flip of the locking latch.
NOTE: This bolt action sniper rifle also includes a high muzzle velocity upgrade spring, which allows this A&K SSR to shoot between 450 to 500 FPS (w/ 0.20g BBs). A low FPS spring is also included (380 to 400 FPS w/ 0.20g BBs).
Distinguishing specifications between the older production run models and this all-new SSR include:
- New model features realistic 220rd SSR high cap magazine
