REALISTIC CONSTRUCTION
Weighing just over five pounds, the JG M5K RIS is incredibly similar to its real steel counterpart. JG has updated the design of the original M5K with the addition of a full metal rail system, which provides over 18 inches of combined rail space! The upper receiver, mock charging handle, magazine, iron sights, and rail system are all crafted from high grade metal, giving this compact AEG a uniquely realistic look and feel. Designed to be easily concealed, the M5K RIS features a metal single point sling mount which allows you to comfortably carry the airsoft gun hands free. Another great feature of the M5K is its ambidextrous selector switch, making the gun easy to use for both right and left handed shooters. NOTE: The full metal rail system MUST BE REMOVED from the AEG in order to correctly install the battery. This can be done easily by unscrewing all seven screws on the left side of the gun (make sure to not misplace the screws or nuts that hold the rail system in place). The battery must be inserted with the connector facing towards the barrel of the gun. The white hop-up adjustment lever is located along the left side of the inner barrel (inside of the rail system).
Ammo type: Seamless 0.20g or heavier (0.23g, 0.25g, 0.26g, 0.28g, etc) BBs. Battery Charger Recommendation: Airsoft Megastore recommends the use of a smart charger to avoid overcharging the battery (overcharged batteries may cause decreased airsoft gun performance and may shorten battery life significantly). Smart chargers not only shorten charge time significantly (up to 800% faster charging), but more importantly, also automatically shut off once the battery is fully charged to avoid overcharged batteries.
